SAYoF Mentor and former Mp of Tanzania Hon. Neema Lugangira spoke on the Technopolitics of AI Panel at the Athens Roundtable in London. She underscored that AI is already reshaping geopolitics and Africa and the Global South must shape AI governance, not be shaped by it. She noted “Our red lines remain clear: protect democracy, end data extraction without value return, eliminate bias, and stop unregulated surveillance. Africa must co-create, not inherit global AI rules.”
