VICTORIA FALLS — European Union Ambassador to Zimbabwe, H.E. Katrin Hagemaan, has reaffirmed the bloc’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Harare, citing trade, investment, and renewable energy as key areas for partnership.
Ambassador Hagemaan made the remarks while addressing the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Presidential Gala Dinner as Guest of Honour on Friday night.
“It was a pleasure to address the ZNCC Presidential Gala Dinner as Guest of Honour,” she said. “The EU stands ready to deepen its partnership with Zimbabwe — working together on trade, investment, renewable energy and sustainable growth, grounded in mutual respect and shared interests.”
Focus on Trade, Investment and Renewables
The Ambassador’s address comes as Zimbabwe pushes to attract more foreign direct investment and expand its energy mix. Renewable energy has emerged as a priority for both the government and development partners amid efforts to address power deficits and support industrial growth.
The ZNCC Presidential Gala Dinner brings together government, business leaders, and diplomats annually to discuss economic priorities and partnerships for the year ahead.
