Russia’s Putin Seeks to Boost Energy and Defense Exports by Visiting India

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit India in an effort to strengthen bilateral ties and push forward key agreements focused on energy cooperation, defense exports, and strategic partnerships. The visit comes at a time when Russia is looking to diversify its economic alliances amid ongoing Western sanctions and geopolitical tensions.

 

According to diplomatic sources, the primary objective of the visit is to reinforce Russia’s position as a major supplier of oil, gas, and military equipment to India — one of its oldest and most reliable partners in Asia.
