A senior Iranian military commander has praised what he described as major breakthroughs in advanced military technologies, highlighting progress in missile systems, drones, and electronic warfare capabilities. The remarks underscore Iran’s emphasis on self-reliance amid continued sanctions and security challenges.

Speaking at a military event, the commander said Iran has achieved significant technological milestones through domestic innovation and scientific expertise. He emphasized that these developments are defensive in nature and aimed at deterring external threats.

According to the commander, Iran’s armed forces have successfully integrated artificial intelligence, precision guidance, and advanced surveillance into new platforms. He credited local engineers and research institutions for reducing dependence on foreign technology.

The announcement comes as regional tensions remain high, with Iran frequently citing the need to protect its sovereignty. Military analysts note that Iran has invested heavily in asymmetric capabilities, viewing them as cost-effective deterrents.

Officials insist that Iran’s military doctrine remains defensive, while warning adversaries against miscalculations. The commander concluded by saying technological progress will continue regardless of external pressure.
