MASERU — Sweden’s Ambassador to South Africa, Anna Karin Eneström, has concluded a visit to Lesotho to assess the ‘2gether4SRHR’ programme and its role in advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights [SRHR].
The delegation met with government ministries and toured local clinics where integrated care models are being rolled out.
Officials said the visit highlighted the impact of integrated health services, community leadership, and gender equality in improving access to SRHR for young people and vulnerable groups.
‘2gether4SRHR’ is a regional initiative supported by Sweden, working with partners to strengthen health systems, reduce stigma, and promote rights-based, youth-friendly services across Southern Africa.
The Ambassador commended Lesotho’s commitment to community-driven approaches and reiterated Sweden’s support for continued collaboration on gender equality and health outcomes.
