BURGERSFORT — Tubatse Cricket Club [TCC] has announced a new partnership with Highlands College Burgersfort aimed at developing cricket at school level and expanding training capacity in Burgersfort.
Under the agreement, TCC will launch a structured Cricket Coaching Programme for Highlands College high school learners. The club’s coaches will provide regular skills training and development sessions for students throughout the academic year.
The partnership will also give TCC access to Highlands College’s sports facilities for senior and junior squad practice sessions. Club officials say the arrangement addresses a long-standing need for dedicated grounds and will allow for more consistent training.
The deal was formalised following a meeting on Wednesday, 01 July 2026 between TCC Head Coach Usman Rao, the Highlands College Principal, and the school’s Sports Coordinator.
“This is a new chapter for cricket in Burgersfort,” said Head Coach Usman Rao. “Partnering with Highlands College gives our young players a clear pathway from school cricket into club cricket, while also strengthening TCC’s training base.”
Highlands College said the collaboration aligns with its goal of expanding sporting opportunities for learners and utilising school infrastructure for community development.
TCC confirmed that coaching sessions and club practice schedules will be rolled out from July 2026.
