PRETORIA — Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski met with participants in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation [DIRCO] training programme during his visit to South Africa.
DIRCO’s programme is the South African equivalent of Poland’s ADMSZ Diplomatic Academy, where young university graduates are trained to become future diplomats.
In the engagement, Sikorski discussed similarities in the histories of both countries, Poland’s economic development path, and career opportunities in diplomacy. The meeting aimed to encourage knowledge exchange between aspiring South African diplomats and Poland’s foreign service experience.
The session forms part of Sikorski’s broader agenda in South Africa, following bilateral talks with Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Ronald Lamola.
