PARIS — His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa, accompanied by the First Lady Dr Tshepo Motsepe, arrived at the Èlysée Palace in Paris on an Official Visit to France and were received by His Excellency President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Mrs Brigitte Macron.
The leaders attended a state dinner hosted in honor of President Ramaphosa.
According to the Presidency, relations between South Africa and France remain comprehensive and productive. The partnership is underpinned by strong cooperation at national, regional and multilateral levels across a multitude of sectors.
The visit forms part of President Ramaphosa’s business programme in France, aimed at strengthening bilateral economic relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment, infrastructure, health, water and rail.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening South Africa-France ties and to working together on global issues including peace, sustainable development and a more effective multilateral system.
