KINSHASA — South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa and Democratic Republic of Congo President Félix Tshisekedi held a bilateral meeting with their respective delegations at State House in Kinshasa today on Thursday, 02 July 2026.
The talks took place during an African Union solidarity visit to the DRC, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and addressing peace and security priorities in Central and Southern Africa.
Both leaders were accompanied by senior government officials from their delegations. Discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations, trade and investment, infrastructure connectivity, and coordination on AU peace and security initiatives.
President Ramaphosa’s visit forms part of broader AU efforts to show solidarity with member states and advance the Union’s Agenda 2063 objectives.
